Alex Schlotzer is a straight talker when it comes to politics and loves to vent his spleen. Actively involved in Australian and international politics with a keen understanding of the dynamics of the political machine, Alex has a prolific online presence and has been a cyber activist for over 15 years. Co- editor of theangle.org, he can also be found at his blog and his exciting online project Australian Politics TV.

Simon Hukin: Opinion and Analysis:

Simon Hukin is a student at the Australian National University, General Secretary of the Western Australian Secondary Students’ Association, peripatetic music teacher and general curmudgeon. He is heavily involved in politics and the union movement.

Kevin Rennie:

Kevin Rennie is a retired secondary school teacher and teacher unionist. He spent 8 years teaching in the Northern Territory: 4 in Katherine, followed by 4 in Maningrida, an aboriginal community in Arnhem Land, returning in June 2008 to Melbourne to live after 15 months in Broome. He has been a member of the Australian Labor Party since 1972. Kevin’s blogs include Labor View from Bayside and Cinema Takes. He also posts at Global Voices and Blogocracy.

Rachel McCarthy is a Melbourne based Masters student and Research assistant at the National Centre of Excellence for Islamic Studies (NCEIS). Her main areas of interest are issues of Asylum and Forced Migration, Islam in the West, Multiculturalism and International Development. Rachel has previously worked in the area of International Development.

John O’Driscoll

John O’Driscoll is an Australian artist with an interest in reality, history and politics. He studied modern European history at Sydney University and first worked and exhibited at the Gunnery in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo. More of his cartoons and opinions can be seen at this blog
